Doctoral Thesis Defence

If you get at least 240 credits during your study and you meet all the other requirements, you can apply for the doctoral thesis defence.

How does the Doctoral Thesis Defence looks like? 

Once you write your doctoral thesis, at least two opponents will be assigned, they will assess the professional level of your work and write the opponent's report . Opponents are usually associate professors and professors who work at other universities.

The doctoral thesis defence consists of presenting of the research you have done and its results. The defence itself takes place before the commission, which is established on the basis of the Study and Examination Rules of Masaryk University.
