Summer Schools

This course is intended for graduate and advanced undergraduate students entering their final year of study in management, research and development or the physical / applied sciences (engineering, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, oceanography, and so forth) who wish to develop their skills and become professionally certified in project management. Individuals outside of academia may also participate upon approval.  The course us focused on understanding and application of PRINCE2^® as a standardised, best practice methodology within an agile delivery environment.

PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments 2) is a process oriented project management method owned by AXELOS. It is the most widespread project management approach in the world with over a million certifications taken globally to date. PRINCE2 is easy to tailor to different projects and environments. It is a clearly defined framework with roles, responsibilities, principles and processes that are easy to learn and apply. PRINCE2 is open, flexible and its usage is growing quickly. In some countries, it is almost mandatory to be certified in PRINCE2 as a project manager, often due to the requirements from the public sector. As part of the programme, participants will write the PRINCE2^® Foundation and Practitioner certification exams leading to internationally recognized professional certification.

Individuals outside of academia may also participate upon approval.  The topics will range from project creation, risk management, budgeting and planning to the application of PRINCE2® as a standardised, best practice methodology within an agile and waterfall delivery environment.

Upon successful completion of the exams and the programme, participants will receive a Certificate in Project Management from the Masaryk University Project Management Centre of Excellence.
