Current Trends in Public Sector Research
The CTPSR international conference organised by the Department of Public Economics traditionally takes place in January at the University Centre in Šlapanice u Brna. The discussion focuses on public administration and finances, services, the non-profit sector, etc.
International Scientific Conference of Business Economics Management and Marketing
The ISCOBEMM international conference is organised in May by the Department of Corporate Economy. It deals with the issues of economic management and marketing in the business environment.
European Financial Systems
The international scientific conference of the Faculty of Economics and Administration sponsored by the Department of Finance is traditionally held in June. It focuses on finances and banking in the European Union. It deals with financial literacy, financial modelling, bookkeeping and tax systems.
International Colloquium about Regional Sciences
The June meeting held by the Department of Regional Economics and Administration is attended by experts examining the current events in the Czech, Slovak and other European regions, especially from the point of view of economics, innovation, transportation, public administration, etc.
Young Economists’ Meeting
The Faculty of Economics and Administration of Masaryk University holds a regular meeting for young economists called the Young Economists’ Meeting (YEM). The best paper wins the Best Paper Award.
International Colloquium about Tourism
The September colloquium regularly organised by the Department of Regional Economics and Administration is held as a discussion about selected topics in the area of tourism. If a scientific-research article of extraordinary quality is presented, the author is offered an opportunity to publish his/her article in the Czech Journal of Tourism magazine.
Transport Economics, Geography and Politics
At a November seminar held in Telč on an annual basis, attendees discuss the current issues of public transportation, especially railway transportation. Each meeting organised by the Institute for Transport Economics, Geography and Politics focuses on one current topic, on which invited guests present their papers. It is followed by a moderated round-table discussion.
