Dear colleagues and partners, please accept our extended invitation to a workshop held by Prof. Michael Paige at the Faculty of Education: BUILDING INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCES FOR ACADEMICS
The event will be held on: Friday, April 13th, 2018 from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. (with a short break for lunch) In Classroom no. 1 (Učebna 1) at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, Poříčí 7, 603 00
The workshop aims to help academics effectively facilitate intercultural learning of their students (both international and Czech) and to develop their international and intercultural competencies academics need for international professional career development.
Prof. Emeritus Michael Paige is a renowned expert in intercultural communication and a Senior Instructor in internationalization at the University of Minnesota where he also teaches International and Intercultural Education. He has almost 50 years of experience in the internationalization of higher education, education abroad/mobility, international students and scholars, and global education partnerships. He has also worked in the public and private sectors as a teacher/trainer, researcher, consultant and programme specialist in international, intercultural and global education.
Prof. Em. Paige is a member and key expert of both the EAIE (European Association for International Education) and the Intercultural Communication Institute in Portland, Oregon.
Thanks to the unique partnership of Faculty of Education MU and the University of Minnesota, for your participation at the workshop there is no registration fee.
