We would like to remind you to save the date 30 September 2021. On this date, a festive conference will be held at the Faculty as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary. You can watch it online. Together we will open a discussion on what the situation in society looked like 30 years ago, what it looks like today and where it will be heading in the next 30 years.
The conference will be opened by Jiří Špalek, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration. The opening inspirational speech will be then delivered by Jan Švejnar, economist and co-founder of CERGE-EI, who is based, among others, at Columbia University in New York. Leaders from business and the public sphere have been invited to join the panel discussion. You can look forward to meeting Jaroslava Rezlerova (Managing Director of ManpowerGroup), Igor Mesensky (Partner and CEE Head of M&A at KPMG), as well as our alumni Marek Třeška (Managing Director of HARTMANN-RICO) and Dana Kovaříková (Head of the European Commission Representation in the Czech Republic).

Since the beginning of the year, the researchers involved in the In-Touch project are trying to improve the lives of people with dementia and of those who take care of them. Health economists from ECON MUNI are also part of the international team. Jakub Hlávka, head of the Health Economics, Policy, and Innovation Institute (HEPII), says that palliative care should take the emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients into account.
