Josef Mech, Graduate 2002

CEO, Sportega/Sportobchod.cz

Josef Mech studied Public Economics at the FEA MU from 1997 to 2002. Although he chose this field of study for pragmatic reasons, his studies at the faculty were very important for him – he made many interesting contacts, established long-lasting friendships and also directed his future career. Already at the end of his studies he founded Sportobchod together with 3 partners, which is today one of the leading sellers of sporting goods in the Czech Republic and in six other European countries.

Lucie Horáková, Graduate 2008

Head of Property Finance management, CPI Property group

Lucie Horáková studied Public Economics at the FEA MU from 2003 to 2008. Her choice of her field of study was based on her family tradition of working in public administration, but her Erasmus study placement led her to work in an international environment. Subsequently, she worked as Head of Property Finance Management at CPI Property Group.

Jakub Vaněk, Graduate 2008

Vice President, Poland & Czechia & Slovakia Lead, Genpact

From 2003 to 2008 he studied Business Economics at the Faculty. After graduation, he joined Ahold at the age of 26, where he experienced what it is like to manage the tax agenda for Slovak entities with a turnover of hundreds of millions of euros. In 2012, he joined Genpact, where he now serves as Vice President. Genpact has approximately 100,000 employees and works for Fortune 500 companies, supporting them in their digital transformation.

Ivo Knoflíček, Graduate 1998

Finance Planning and Analysis & Business Inteligence Director, Zebra Technologies

Ivo studied Finance-Banking at the Faculty from 1993 to 1998 and wanted to work in banking because he enjoyed working with numbers. After his studies, he was inspired by his classmates and switched to audit, where he saw great opportunities to learn many interesting and new things and gain an international perspective. He is currently in his 17th year at Zebra Technologies.
