Description This contribution presents the results of a mini-survey by online questionnaire in two comparable language versions. Seeking the morphosemantic and pragmatic equivalences for three pairs of lexemes linked to food in French and Czech, the data were used for debating the levels of diffusion of argotisms of different types (common slang, common slang of young people, etc.) through society according to the declarations of practices and representations that the interviewees make of the chosen items.
