Description The reallocation of resources in the economy in favor of the provision of public goods carries a certain degree of inefficiency (Downson's model of the political cycle, the problem of cyclical choice, log-rolling, rational ignorance and others). This inefficiency can be reduced by introducing alternative ways of securing public goods, when people are not led to cooperate solely on the basis of financial motives but also on social or behavioral motives. The aim of the paper is to analyse alternative mechanisms for the financing of public goods based on voluntary consumer payment and, on the basis of the results of own economic experiment, to assess whether these mechanisms lead to an increased willingness to voluntarily pay for public goods. We assume that there are mechanism that increase the rate of voluntary payment for public goods. This rate of voluntary payment is also dependent on perceived risk from the consumer's point of view, the warm-glow effect and the social position of the individual.
