Description The accurate prediction of future performance is a vital component of corporate decision making and, therefore, of the long-term sustainability of a business. We argue that by conducting strategic analyses more often, the accuracy of predictions for future performance will also increase. We test this hypothesis using several statistical methods on a sample of Czech construction companies and find some support for it. Additionally, our research brings some insight into the question of when it is possible to use performance estimates as indicators of future performance.
