Final State Examination (FSE) for students on an internship abroad
The deadline for the submission of the final thesis is the same each semester for all students, regardless of whether they are on an internship abroad. In the fall semester, there is also only one FSE date common to all students. In the spring semester, students on an internship abroad can choose whether they want to take the FSE in June or September. They choose the date of the SFE by registering the proper date in IS in time. The deadlines for submitting thesis and the deadlines for registering for the FSE are listed in the “Schedule of the Academic year“ on the faculty website (https://www.econ.muni.cz/en/students/bachelors-and-masters-studies/schedule-of-the-academic-year).
If students who register for the FSE in September wish to submit their thesis after the official deadline, they must have an exception approved by the department head. They should apply for an exception by email at least one week before the official deadline and include the supervisor's approval and a proposed postponed deadline by which they will submit their thesis. The latest submission date that the Head of the Department of Business Economics and Management will approve is Wednesday in week 6 of the examination period (i.e., typically early July). With later submission, it is not possible to ensure that all follow-up administrative steps are completed in a timely manner due to the summer vacation period.
