The following study plans are designed to help students enrolled in Business Management and Finance and Economics and Public Policy programmes to make an effective choice of courses with a view to earning the required number of credits.

Duration of Bachelor's degree programmes

The standard duration of the Bachelor's degree programmes is 6 semesters. Typically, the first five semesters are devoted to coursework, while the last semester is mainly a thesis-writing semester. The coursework consists of reading assignments, written assignments, in-class discussions and in-class presentations.

Courses

Courses are divided into compulsory, selective and elective ones. Compulsory courses constitute the core of the programme. All of them must be completed in the course of study, and it is not possible to omit them. The number of selective courses taken must be such that the credit requirements for selective courses are fulfilled (more in the study plan). Elective courses are courses of student's interest and can be chosen from any faculty of Masaryk University. Bachelor students also have the obligation to obtain at least 2 credits from physical education during their studies.

must be earned in total

Finishing studies

The programmes are concluded with a Final State Examination, which can be taken only after the student has fulfilled all study obligations (completion of all courses, obtaining a sufficient number of credits, and submission of the Bachelor's thesis). The Final State Examination consists of a Bachelor thesis defence and an academic discussion. More information is available on the web Finishing studies.
