MUNI ECON Working Papers

Submission Guidelines

(1) Who is eligible to submit?

Only staff and affiliates of Masaryk University are eligible to submit to the Working Paper Series.

(2) Can I still submit my paper elsewhere?

There are no restrictions on submitting your paper to other working paper series simultaneously. All mainstream journals where our authors publish accept preprints that have been published as working papers. However, please note that journals or publishers have individual policies that determine the terms and conditions, such as which version of the article may be used and when the article can be made openly accessible in the repository. If you want to know the open access policy of the journal, you can check the SHERPA/RoMEO database or contact us. Please be aware that you are responsible for ensuring that publication in the MUNI ECON Working Paper Series does not pose any copyright conflicts, as your paper cannot be withdrawn once it is online.

(3) When should I submit my paper to the MUNI ECON Working Paper Series?

While you are welcome to submit your paper at any stage of the production process, it is recommended to submit it when you initially submit it to a journal, conference volume, or other publication. At that stage, the Working Paper can benefit from comments and feedback, but it will not duplicate the final published version. Please note that once your paper has been circulated, we do not update, replace or delete it. Therefore, we suggest waiting to submit your paper at a more advanced stage, rather than at a very preliminary stage.

(4) How do I submit my paper?

To submit your paper, please email the PDF file to workingpapers@econ.muni.cz.

(5) What are the formatting requirements for paper submission?

We accept files in PDF format only. Please ensure that the body of your paper starts on a separate page since we produce our own abstract page. Your submission must include an abstract (maximum length of 900 characters with spaces), keywords, JEL classification, and all authors' affiliations. Please provide the corresponding author's email, postal address, and ORCID of all authors. Note that we provide contact details for only one author, which will usually be the submitting author unless you inform us otherwise.

(6) How are the papers distributed?

MUNI ECON Working Papers are available online through RePEc and EconStor. The Working Paper Series has an ISSN number 2571-130X. Once the paper is published in the journal, we update the Working Paper Series website to include a link to the published version.

(7) Are DOIs assigned to the working papers?

Yes, DOIs are assigned to the working papers.

(8) Can I license my paper using the Creative Commons licensing schema?

Yes, you can license your paper using the Creative Commons licensing schema, and we encourage the use of CC BY. Based on evidence, editors rarely refuse to publish articles whose preprint version exists as a CC-licensed working paper.
