| Description | The proposal of European ecological network consists of 23 so called biocentres (core areas) of (Cetral-)European importance. Biocentras are interconected by ecological corridors (biocorridors) of (Central-)European importance. These axis are routes of most probably migration of organisms. Biocentras constists of large areas with close- to-nature ecosystems and/or relatively large unique ecosystems - peat-bogs, steppe graslands and rocky ecosystems. Zones of enhanced landscape management serves as a protection areas of biocentras and biocorridors. They improve the functionality of biocentras and biocorridors too. |
