Description The study deals with attitudes of economics students towards work and achievement in relation to expected satisfactory earnings after finishing their university studies. The research sample consists of 129 students of bachelor study programme of an economical faculty in the Czech republic. The students were given the Achievement Motivation Inventory (AMI) whose dimensions were used as predictors of expected satisfactory earnings. A survey was used to determine the expected satisfactory earnings. According to the results of the regression analysis there are good positive predictors such as dominance and competitivness and negative predictors such as pride in productivity. The character of the study is exploratory. In the future research it can be followed with studies using different samples.
