Description The article assesses the innovation environment (potential) of the regions (NUTS II regions) of the Czech Republic according to six selected indexes. It is concerned with the rate of correlation association between the indexes, with typology of regions based on the innovation environment. The main objective of the article is to assess relevance of chosen method and classification, short introduction of innovation environment of the regions of the Czech Republic and their typology. A follow up objective is to assure of possibility of pick up the threats of next works or its application e.g. for more detailed hierarchical division of the Czech Republic.
