Description The paper concentrates on the clarification of the significance of the teaching of history of economic thought and principles of economics in university study programs and on the analysis of the logic of mutual relations of these courses. Special attention is devoted to the question of proper syllabus structure of the history of economic thought course in the case when the teaching of this course is placed in the time schedule of program curricula to earlier semesters than principles of economics courses are.
