Description The article is a statement about the state and situation of cooperation between cities and municipalities within the Slovak and Czech Republics. The presented results and findings are based on the study and research of the Invisible border issue. The Invisible border topic has become a key point within the Interreg SK–CZ cross-border project (2020– 2021): Strengthening the cooperation of municipalities to solve the "Invisible border" problem (ITMS2014+ 304031R566). The research team was made up of experts from A. Dubček University of Trenčín (SR) and Masaryk University (CR). The analysis of questions related to the reasons, results and cooperation, as well as projects based on mutuality, development and strengthening the overall cooperation concept of Slovak and Czech municipalities in cross-border regions is highly topical. For this reason, we present selected results of Slovak-Czech cross-border partnerships and accept conclusions based on our findings. Information was collected through a questionnaire survey, interviews with directly involved individuals and an open discussion with representatives of the given environment.
