Description This paper is focused on analysis of competitiveness of insurance companies offering their products in the life insurance as one of the class of insurance (the non-life insurance is the other class of insurance used in the EU-countries and given to the Czech insurance market by the Law on Insurance Nr. 363/1999). Life insurance involves endowment insurance, whole life insurance, or both of them combined in one insurance product, and pension insurance offered by the commercial insurance companies, not by pension funds. Life insurance policies cover personal risk, which is related to the chance of loss suffered by persons or individuals, e.g. living to reach a certain age in health, death, etc. Insurance brokers help their clients to choose the best coverage available to fit their particular exposure. The paper deals with a comparison made by insurance brokers on the Czech insurance market, comparing the services offered by the most important commercial insurance companies associated in the Czech Insurance Association.
