Description Foundation of the VŠO in Prague is connected to the life and work of the very first Czechoslovak economist and the first Economic Engineer Dr. Ing. Ludmila Zlesáková-Nosilová-Mužíková. Despite being one of the closest co-workers of Dr. Milada Horáková, prof. Růžena Vacková or Sen. Františka F. Plamínková and despite being the student of prof. Macek, she had been forgotten in the 20th and early 21st century. The aim of this contribution is to present the university studies of Ludmila Zlesáková based on the unique, not yet published, archival materials and to explainher approach to fundamental problems of the national economy of the Czechoslovak Republic during the Great depression with emphasis on the Labour Economics.
