| Description | Although the problem of dual-use is usually related to natural sciences and engineering, it can be shown that it is also increasingly present in social sciences and humanities. One reason for the presence of this problem in these areas is a better ability to predict human behavior from big data considering past cases. In this respect, some sociological research or knowledge in the humanities can be easily used for morally problematic goals, such as an undesirable influence on purchasing goods or voting behavior. |
