Description The Internet of Things (IoT) brings a fundamental transformation by augmenting its conventional sensor networks with more advanced devices, such as smart meters. This fusion of embedded and industry (utility) domains promises to deliver unprecedented benefits for both sectors. On the one hand, connected metering devices become capable of transmitting the data without the need for human interaction i.e., Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication pattern. Also, the re-configuration of meters can be done remotely as the cost savings related to device management stand for the key point from the decision makers point of view. On the other hand, especially these days, the question how to treat with obtained data remains unanswered. In particular, we consider to use of the recently standardized Narrowband-IoT (NB-IoT) radio technology and offering the real evaluation of created visualization platform. In role of sensor, we use our "from the scratch" designed and programmed NB-IoT prototype.
