Description The social economy is considered from the perspective of the third sector as an alternative to the public sector and the market. Social enterprises have become another tool of social economy and a powerful and effective tool for employment of disadvantaged people in the labor market and are an effective tool of state and local governments in the fight against social exclusion, rising unemployment and segregation excluded localities. Czech Republic is among the countries that benefit emerging social business, especially at the regional level. Experience from abroad to uniquely identify the positive impact of social entrepreneurship on the national economy. Post examines the development of social entrepreneurship in the segment of social economy in the Czech Republic and tries to identify the current state of social entrepreneurship. Czech Republic does not yet have a law on the social economy and it is also one of the barriers to the development activities of social enterprises. This article is intended to contribute to the debate on setting up the future role of the third sector and social entrepreneurship as one of the possible tools for solving social problems in society.
