Description In the paper the author think about European migration crisis and about the rising antimigration mood in Europe. In this context author deal with the concept of hate crimes and its origin in the USA, difficulties of its definition, its pros and cons and the danger of its transference into the Czech criminal law regulation, which does not know  and does not use the concept of the hate crimes, but use the concept of bias motivated crimes. However, these concepts have different contents.
