Description The concept of tourism destination governance proceeds from the concept of corporate governance and it is based on managing a destination by network. This means that tourism stakeholders are involved in the process of managing (decision-making process and controlling). The key aspect of the concept is network, precisely cooperation – interaction between private and public sector, and necessary coordination. The paper verifies the knowledge of the concept of tourism destination governance (e.g. Beritelli, Bieger & Laesser, 2007) on the case study of Rennes destination management organization, and moreover presents suggestions dealing with the conditions in the Czech Republic.
