Description The need to create new jobs poses one of the most pressing challenges of our time for each of the member country of the European Union. Unemployed people is more than 10% of the active population of the EU. Specific groups such as the disabled, women returning from maternity leave, workpeole older than 50 yearsare volnerable the most to the labor market.The article focuses on social enterprises – this is one of the segments of the labor market, which is aimed at the employment of specific groups. According to the registry "Czech social entrepreneurship" it is registered around 210 social buiness establishment in the Czech Republic. Social enterprise is unique in a way that it is built on partnership between the public and private sectors, and at least 40% of employees belongs to a specific group. The aim of this paper is to review the status of social enterprises in the Czech Republic and their support from the European Social Fund for the employment of excluded groups of inhabitants. The contribution evaluate future trend in social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic.
