Description The chapter has three sections. After describing a profile of Slovakia, it examines the processes of health care reform. Limited continuity of health policy and an imbalance in the systems finances represent core problems in the history of reform, The final section presents outcomes and investigates selected examples of limited success, especially how political instability neutere reform and politicized health issues, sometimes causing policy reversals.
