Description Analysis of aggregated Czech data about municipal waste expenditures and its relationship with the general economic development. Data is analyzed on the regional level and contains figures on municipal solid waste expenditure, total regional expenditure, and the regional GDP. Data is collected from the period 2001-2011. As the waste generation should generally follow the consumption, which is related to the economic product, waste generation and subsequently waste expenditure should follow the economic product development. Paper provides evidence about the relationship of municipal waste expenditure development and economic variables such as GDP and total municipal expenditures and shows significant results for few individual regions in case of economic variables. In case of population density and waste expenditures there is no significant relationship.
