Field Management and administrative
Keywords Destination management; cooperation; administrative boundaries
Description Destination management is a mature form of cooperation among stakeholders in tourism (Bieger, 1996) that were forced to transfer their roles from competitors to partners and thus to gain the competitive advantage. The paper deals with the cooperation within a destination that is divided by administrative boundaries. The network analysis is practised to explain disadvantages and weaknesses of the issue on the case of Krkonoše and Český ráj. On the basis of interviews and questionnaires the three principles of destination management (Holešinská, 2007), e.g. communication, cooperation, and coordination were evaluated. Respondents of the research were two destination management organizations and concerned regional authorities.
