By the end of April, each student can nominate one to three teachers who, in their opinion, deserve the Rector’s Award for Outstanding Teachers (cast your nomination here). This competition allows you to nominate a teacher or a supervisor who has been the most helpful or the most inspiring, who has been able to point you towards the right direction, or who has been outstanding in any other way during your studies. The competition will be evaluated by a Rector’s committee established for this purpose. Masaryk University will recognize a total of three teachers, one in each category - natural sciences and medicine, social and human sciences, and economics and informatics.
Each student who submits at least one nomination may be included in a raffle to win a range of prizes. See the contest rules for further information.
Furthermore, for the third time in a row, the Award of Students' Chamber of Academic Senate MU for Student Participation in Education will also be awarded to recognize excellence in educational activities carried out by students (nominate here).
Poor air quality has significant economic impacts on people's health. A team of scientists from ECON MUNI and the RECETOX centre has been preoccupied with air quality in Brno since 2021. They have even involved in their research children from several primary schools. Dr Dominika Tóthová, Associate Professor Vilém Pařil and Dr Ondřej Mikeš answer the questions.
