Trampled, underlined, added up. The next year of the faculty's challange Bike to work is at the finish line, and we thank everyone who joined it.
We are very pleased that the number of participants is growing every year, and with them the interest and attention paid to sustainable transport. And that is also thanks to the background and support that ESF MU offers. Whether it's secure bike racks, paid entry fees, prizes for the winning teams or a closing party for all involved.
The numbers are again astounding: twelve teams, 51 participants, 9,075 kilometers collected and 1,136 kg CO2 saved.

Poor air quality has significant economic impacts on people's health. A team of scientists from ECON MUNI and the RECETOX centre has been preoccupied with air quality in Brno since 2021. They have even involved in their research children from several primary schools. Dr Dominika Tóthová, Associate Professor Vilém Pařil and Dr Ondřej Mikeš answer the questions.
Local heating significantly worsens air quality in the Czech Republic. Scientists from ECON MUNI and RECETOX are looking for solutions and have been monitoring air quality in selected municipalities in the South Moravian Region since last autumn. The measurements are now followed by a questionnaire survey and interviews to discover under what conditions people are willing to change the way they heat their homes.
