Library opening hours during Christmas time

Library will be open in standard opening hours until Tuesday 17^th December. On Wednesday and Thursday (18^th – 19^th December library will be open until 4:00 p.m. On Friday 20^th December library will be open only until 2:00 p.m

Between Monday 23^rd December 2019 and Friday 3^rd January 2020 the library will be CLOSED. Usual opening hours will be recovered on Monday 6^th January 2020.

In-house loans („STOP“ books) would be possible to borrow since 1:00 p.m. Thursday, 12^th of December until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, 7^th of January 2020.

We would like to wish everyone a nice and peaceful holiday in advance.

Air quality in Brno has been improving but it is still far from ideal

Poor air quality has significant economic impacts on people's health. A team of scientists from ECON MUNI and the RECETOX centre has been preoccupied with air quality in Brno since 2021. They have even involved in their research children from several primary schools. Dr Dominika Tóthová, Associate Professor Vilém Pařil and Dr Ondřej Mikeš answer the questions.

Since the beginning of the year, the researchers involved in the In-Touch project are trying to improve the lives of people with dementia and of those who take care of them. Health economists from ECON MUNI are also part of the international team. Jakub Hlávka, head of the Health Economics, Policy, and Innovation Institute (HEPII), says that palliative care should take the emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients into account.
