The events of November 1939 will be commemorated by Masaryk University on November 14 at a reverent meeting at the memorial in the Kounice dormitories. Rector Martin Bareš and representatives of the MU faculties will lay wreaths here and commemorate the imprisoned, tortured and executed members of the academic community of Masaryk University and other victims of the Nazi regime. By lighting a candle at this event, all students and staff can symbolically honor all the victims and heroes who did not give in in the face of evil.
