Associate professor Jiří Špalek was elected today by the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Economics and Administration of MU as a candidate for the position of Dean. The next candidate for the post was Assistant professor Petr Valouch. Jiří Špalek received eleven votes out of sixteen possible in the first round of the election. Five senators voted for Petr Valouch today. If Jiří Špalek is appointed by Rector for the position of Dean, he will lead the MU Faculty of Economics and Administration in the period from 1 November 2020 to 31 October 2024.
The Chair of the AS ESF MU and members of the Election Commission for the election of the dean's candidate within the set deadline accepted nominations for the dean's position at MU for the term 2024-2028.
