Department of Regional Economics and Administration

invites you to the

23rd INTERNATIONAL COLLOQUIUM ON REGIONAL SCIENCES

Dear colleagues, dear friends and fans of regional sciences,
Unfortunately, the current occurrence of coronavirus will also negatively affect the realization of the International Colloquium on Regional Sciences in 2020. We are forced to cancel our personal meeting. However, we still want to preserve the idea of the colloquium. We will continue our long-standing tradition at least through the publication of the conference proceedings.
At this moment, a new registration for the colloquium has been launched. Now, it concerns the publication of a paper in the conference proceedings only. This registration is open till April 30, 2020. By the same date, we have extended the deadline for submitting papers.

Thank you for your understanding. We will look forward to meeting you next year.

Topics

The Colloquium represents a platform for meeting of experts on economics and related social sciences, whose common interest is research of European regions issues and above all, the Czech and Slovak ones. Region is perceived as a territorial unit between national state and municipalities, which implies the necessity of specific approaches to dealing with their matters. In this sense the Colloquium is thematically focused on:

  • issues of regional disparities in the context of regional policy,
  • design and implementation of public policies in municipalities, cities and regions,
  • evaluation of economic, innovation and knowledge potential of Czech, Slovak and European regions,
  • project management targeted at socio-economic development of territory,
  • spatial aspects of transport, tourism, population, environment and business environment.
