To ensure persons with dementia and their informal caregivers gain better access to psychosocial support, we propose to develop a framework that solves the above-stated evidence gap and supports decision-makers with proper evidence for implementation and reimbursement. Our overall aim is to develop and validate a framework for generating health-economic evidence on psychosocial support programs for informal caregivers of people with moderate or severe dementia living in the community in European regions in co-design with reimbursement decision-makers.
