Air pollution constitutes a significant problem for large cities and industrial agglomerations and affects many of the population. Long-term and short-term exposition of air pollution has a significant impact on human health, especially vulnerable people, such as children or the elderly, as evidenced by numerous epidemiological researches. The project allows developing the research activities in the economic consequences of personal exposure to air pollution. The main objective of this project is to examine the relationship between exposure to air pollution and the societal cost of chosen illnesses connected with air pollution, especially with regard to the existing specific, socio-demographic, geographical, but above all health conditions.
