The research object is an influence of Czech economic-political institution changes to a monetary policy strategy during both a pre-entry period and after the entry into the European Union. The research will be aimed on changes within internal (i.e. curr ency and credit) as well as external (i.e. exchange rate) monetary policy and their impact to a national economy within different stages: during the pre-entry phase, after a synchronous entry to both the EU and EMU, after the entry to the EU but outside the Euroland and using the ERM II. The research is based on a comparative analysis, as its methodical principle is an analysing of an EU member countries' experience; a specific position of the Czech transitive economy is reflected. The base of the resea rch working process is to study and analyse facts, to generalize them and compare a reason with the Czech conditions.
