Operational changes at FEA

22 Sep 2017

The beginning of the new semester at FEA is marked by several operational changes we would like you to know about.

The most significant change, related to the reconstruction of the reception desk area, is the transfer of the Filing Office from the Dean's Office on the second floor to the newly built Information Service area at the entrance to the building.

The second major change is the reconstruction of classrooms P201, MT205, VT203, and VT206. The reconstruction was part of the university OPVVV SIMU+ project, which has allowed the construction of computer laboratories for economic experiments, while increasing the quality of the lecture rooms.

Computer classrooms VT202 and VT203 were combined in order to eliminate the under-used computer lab. The computer lab will be replaced in the next few days by freely accessible PCs on the balconies in the building's lobby and PC kiosks, which will now function as full-featured PCs. Furthermore, printers for students have been moved to the lobby so that they are closer to the Faculty computers.

The last change regarding computer classrooms is the transfer of the Bloomberg terminal from VT206 to VT105. The operating rules of the classroom are “mixed”; when scheduled lectures end, the classroom is freely accessible to students for individual or group work. The classroom is free during the following times:

  • Monday and Wednesday from 17:00 to 20:00
  • Tuesday and Thursday from 18:00 to 20:00
  • Friday „all day“ (depending on the schedule)

A small, but certainly pleasing, new feature of the Faculty is the introduction of payment terminals. You can now pay with your ATM card at the Faculty Cashier (with the exception of payments for Shopping Center orders). You can also use your ATM card at the Delikomat vending machines and in the near future also in the Faculty snack bar.
