LEAP Summit is one of the biggest international conferences for youth in South-East Europe. Every year, it gathers thousands of young people from more than 30 countries. It hosts world-renowned speakers and people from various industries. The focus of the Summit is on multidisciplinary topics – innovation, entrepreneurship, EU for youth, new technologies and life-changing stories.
LEAP in 2018 will be held from 15th – 17th of March in Zagreb, Croatia. General partner of Summit is European Commission and Enterprise Europe Network.

Digital Twins are transforming the way we connect the physical and digital worlds, enabling real-time simulation, prediction, and optimization across industries. In this interview, we speak with researcher Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Bamakan, whose work at ECON MUNI within the MSCA OP JAK Fellowship program focuses on advancing Digital Twin technologies and addressing their key challenges in complex, data-driven environments.
Researchers from ECON MUNI have joined a new research project focusing on geographical peripheries in the Czech Republic. They are building on the collaboration established within the SYRI National Institute and investigating why some regions lag behind in the long term, whilst others manage to prosper despite structural disadvantages. The aim is to better understand the mechanisms of marginalisation and to offer recommendations for public policies that can help reduce regional inequalities and strengthen social cohesion.
