| Description | One of the key assumptions of neoclassical economics is the existence of rational individual, who always tries to maximize his or hers utility. The paper shows possibilities of experimental evaluation of this hypothesis with respect to the various groups. Our research question is whether economists behave more selfish than any other group of people. We conclude that the hypothesis of stronger orientation on themselves among economists could not be validated, but also could not be rejected. There were some situations, when economists behave more selfish, but were not prevailing. |
