Description The objective of this Czech-Finnish collaboration effort was to analyse and compare the levels of environmental awareness in Czech and Finnish companies. The research was executed via surveys conducted in the Moravia region of Czech Republic and Northern Ostrobothnia region of Finland. Further, the article reviews the theoretical background of environmental awareness raising, the constituting elements of corporate environmental awareness, and the elements of personal awareness. Finally, suggestions for motivating employees for waste minimization are offered.
