Description The article deals with the concept of strategic management in the conditions of modern Czech company with management labor productivity within the meaning of the hidden factor of business competitiveness. Article assesses internal business factors analyzed samples of small and medium-sized enterprises, with emphasis on the management of labor productivity. The article cited a comparison of the achieved level of productivity in the V4 countries with the EU average of 15. The objective of this article is to clarify the concept of strategic management, competitiveness and productivity management work related to the development of performance and efficiency improvements in the company. Strategic management is among the major internal factors for overall performance and competitiveness of the company and must therefore occupy a significant position in business management and in the minds of management to compensate for the value of labor productivity in the EU.
