Description The aim of this paper is to present the selected aspects of the shopping behavior and preferences of the teenagers living or studying in Brno. Two most popular and most visited shopping centers in Brno were selected for the comparison. – the Vaňkovka Gallery, located near the center and peripheral the Olympia, offering the significantly wider range of entertainment and leisure. The research methodology was the questionnaire survey among teenagers (15-19 years), attending high school in Brno. Although the shopping center Olympia offers the visitors for example: a multiplex cinema, bowling, climbing wall, seasonal ice skating rink, as well as more international brands of fashion and shoes, it does not overcome the attractiveness of the Vaňkovka among young people. Olympia is known as "diverse and weekend" shopping center, with longer spent time here, the Vankovka is more "affordable and everyday" shopping center. The attractiveness of the Vaňkovka also supports excellent accessibility by foot or by public transport, in relation to its location between the main railway and bus stations, and with a direct link to the historic city center.
