Description This paper looks at the issue of motivating individuals entering into the business environment through the establishment of new businesses. The paper has been inspired by findings from the analysis of secondary data, in particular from questionnaire surveys carried out by renowned institutions in both the Czech Republic and across Europe. Attention is then focused on students from Masaryk University who are expected to enter the business environment. The questionnaire survey was aimed at students from the Faculty of Economics and Administration, as well as students from the Faculty of Law. The results are an important output for developing further methods in terms of their practical application in improving the preparation of students for their future careers.
