Description Cluster is an organization that links entrepreneurial, research, educational and other subjects existing in some branch and in some selected territory (region). The members of clusters should cooperate in some specified areas (especially innovation activities and export), but at the same time the economic competition cannot be disrupted by them. Although the clusters have always been a natural element of economics, their formation and development are nowadays supported through public resources. In the Czech Republic the formalized clusters got started to arise especially after its accession to the European Union. On the basis of question survey among 84 cluster members the article deals with activities really carried out by Czech clusters and with barriers of their development. It was found out that the Czech clusters cooperate particularly in the field of research, development and innovations and business collaboration and propagation. Insufficient confidence among managers and lack of interest to cooperate are the main barriers for their development.
