Description This article focuses on public support rendered in the Czech Republic in the form of subsidies to support innovative activities within enterprises, through the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations, specifically its fourth priority axis – Innovations. Its aim is to analyze the data regarding the number of supported projects and the amount of support, available at regional level. The analysis follows previous research examining the research potential of regions. Subsequent aim of this article is therefore to broaden the original research by innovation indicator relating to public support to individual businesses. Similar to the outcomes of the original research, this article confirms significant lagging of the Karlovy Vary and Ústí nad Labem regions. However, contrary to the original research, where the Central Bohemian and South Moravian regions were dominating, current analysis shows dominance of the Zlín region. Prague region was excluded from the analysis.
