| Description | The article deals with the territory of the microregion of Rajhradsko which is located in the South Moravian Region. The Rajhradsko microregion is voluntary association of five municipalities that was established for the purpose of long-term cooperation with development of the region. The main objective of this contribution is to analyze demographic and economic data of the microregion and subsequently to interpret them. The development of the population in each municipality of the microregion between 2002 and 2012 as well as the current educational structure of the population is broken down in the text. The attention is also paid to business entities where wholesale and retail followed by construction industry predominate. Although the Rajhradsko microregion represents itself as a tourism region, the representation of enterprises related to tourism is rather small. |
