Description Environmental protection is a component of Corporate social responsibility. The academics emphasize that it is necessary to deal with this issue not only internally - within a company, but also on supply chain level. The cooperation among supply chain members can result in higher environmental performance. This idea – labelled as green purchasing (and in broader sense as green supply chain management) – was supported by several examples in the business reality. The article presents the outcomes of an exploratory research that focused on the question if similar efforts are present in small and medium enterprises operating in the Czech Republic.
