Basic information

Attendance is compulsory for all current Specific Research Project (Student Grant System) investigators. All other full-time and combined PhD students (3rd semester and upwards) have to present their research as well. Only after an agreement between the student, their supervisor, and the doctoral board, can the student present their research on a different occasion.

The conference will be held in English language in person. There will be no online or hybrid options. If you aren’t able to attend in person, please discuss the possibility of presenting on a different occasion with your supervisor and the doctoral board.

The conference will be held from 9am to 5pm at the faculty.

Who can apply

Application and presentation at the conference is compulsory for all investigators of Specific Research Projects (Student Grant System). All other full-time and combined PhD students (3rd semester and upwards) should present their research as well and are strongly advised to. 

PhD students who will not present should at least attend the conference as an audience. First year PhD students should also attend as an audience.

Format of your presentation

Your talk should not take more than 20 minutes altogether. You should present for 15 minutes and leave 5 minutes for questions and discussion. Prepare an accompanying PowerPoint presentation according to the MU Unified Visual Style (link here).

Do not focus on budget or administrative issues connected to your Specific Research Project, focus on your research and results in the past year.
