Vienna Insurance Group welcomed FEA students
Vienna Insurance Group, one of the Faculty's Distinguished Partners, welcomed more than 30 of our students from Czech, English, and exchange programmes, in its premises in Vienna, Austria, on 15 December 2017. Ms. Angela Fleischlig-Tangl from VIG opened the visit with her presentation of VIG's HR activities especially in the area of workplace diversity. Mr. Roman Zeman, also from VIG, then followed with his view on the future of the Eurozone. Students then had the opportunity to chat with other VIG employees about everything that they were curious about regarding working at VIG.
What did the students think of the visit?
"I really liked to get an overview of a global company. The people where very, very nice and they were very interested in us." Dominik Pischl, exchange student
"I learned many things about VIG (especially its diverse workforce) and its activities including HR activities." Aung Myo Thet, Business Management student
"I really appreciated the opportunity to talk with multiple employees about their job, what it entails or just about their life in general, how VIG suits them and what they achieved since the beginning of their job there." Barbora Olenočinová, Business Management student
"I found both presentations very interesting and useful, they gave me a good insight about the duties of an insurance company." Alfredo Mantovani Escalante, Business Management student

New form of State Final Examinations
Since the academic year 2019/2020, the process of state final examinations in all study fields and programs will be adjusted. The essence of the adjustment is the cancellation of the individual subjects’ examination; the state examination will continue to consist only of the final thesis defense and further of an expert discussion.
